Ellsworth Home Build (tentative build dates: May 22 - October 15)
Construction volunteers do the important work of building homes on our job sites throughout Pierce and St. Croix Counties. Don't worry, construction experience is NOT necessary. We have a great team who will help you learn!
Construction volunteers must be at least 16 years old to participate on site (with a parent or guardian present); age appropriate activities will be determined for volunteers under 18.
Shifts are typically from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Wednesday through Friday and some Saturdays. Each volunteer must complete a liability waiver before they are permitted to work on a job site, as well as view a training and safety video that shows what a typical day as a construction volunteer may be like. Tasks that volunteers work on in this role depend on what stage of construction the project is in.
If you are interested in sponsoring a build, company build days, or have questions, please email community.outreach@scvhabitat.org or call 715-350-8575.
As a ReStore volunteer, you are part of the process that brings affordable housing to our communities. Goods donated to the ReStore are either used in our construction projects or sold to the public - with proceeds going to support our work in the community!
Tasks that ReStore volunteers work on include receiving and preparing incoming donations for sale, helping donors, assisting and ringing up customers, cleaning, and general store maintenance. Light-moderate lifting and movement (both on flat surfaces and stairs) can be expected.
Shifts are typically from 11 am to 3 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old (with a parent or guardian present) and able to lift 35lbs. Each volunteer must complete a liability waiver before they are permitted to work at the ReStore, and may view a training and safety video that goes over safety concerns specific to a ReStore.
If you are interested in volunteering at the ReStore, please
call 715-318-9122 or email ReStore@scvhabitat.org.

DownloadWe know that volunteers are Humanitarians. The Scott Brothers take a minute from their volunteer work with Habitat to talk a little about that experience.
Neighbors helping neighbors, with a little help from a President.
Habitat is creating safe and affordable housing all over the world. We're humbled by the chance to make a difference in Pierce and St. Croix Counties in Wisconsin.
At St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity, we take the health and safety of our team and volunteers very seriously. We have worked with Habitat for Humanity International to ensure we are practicing the most up-to-date Covid guidelines in accordance with CDC, state and local recommendations.
