A Brush with Kindness

A Brush with Kindness

Are you struggling to maintain the exterior of your home or its property due to age, disability or family circumstances?

St. Croix Valley Habitat’s A Brush with Kindness (ABWK) – under our over-arching Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative (NRI) – is a great way to inspire and engage others to take action in revitalizing neighborhoods and entire communities. The focus is exterior repairs of existing homes – one home, one block, one neighborhood at a time. Repairs are related to general poor structural conditions, safety, landscaping and painting, as well as special needs including wheelchair ramps, veteran assistance, and aging-in-place assistance.

Our A Brush with Kindness opportunities span Pierce and St. Croix counties. We are accepting applications for these two areas. Qualified applicants will provide proof of income, proof of homeownership, and complete an application. Homeowners are responsible for repayment of materials and administrative costs through a no-interest loan by Habitat. The repayment amount is based upon household income.

ABWK applications can be downloaded here.
